Challenged to create a campaign that unites all sport divisions of the Mizuno brand … the Mastery Series was born. The idea was to show parallels between the athletes’ preparation and training, focusing on the smallest details to become great, and that of Mizuno’s Master Craftsmen, who have been creating premium sports product for over 100 years.

This video series garnered world-wide acclaim, as it was the first full brand campaign concepted and executed by Mizuno USA.

Adam Wainwright / p / St. Louis Cardinals

St. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Adam Wainwright was originally drafted in the first round by the Atlanta Braves in 2000, but traded to the Cardinals in 2003, a trade which the Braves no doubt soon came to regret. Waino quickly became a pivotal player in Cardinals organization, helping the organization win two World Series. Throughout his career Adam has remained one of the most important pitchers
for the Cardinals, finishing in the top 5 in Cy Young voting four times. In 2014, he became the first pitcher in Major League history to post nine of his first 18 starts
with seven innings pitched and no runs allowed.
